Hosted by the Land of Enchantment BMW Riders, this 34rd Annual Rally is one of the finest BMW and all-brand motorcycle rallies in the West. Always held on the second weekend of September, which is a perfect time for exploring the twisties of Northern New Mexico and the surrounding Santa Fe National Forest.
Living in Ojo Caliente, I’m only 70 miles from Sipapu and the site of the rally. The elevation at my OjoHome is 6330 ft. and is considered the high desert, in the short distance to the rally we climbed to 9200 ft. with the spruce/pines of the high country.
