Snow Boulder ~ Winter time in New Mexico presents many photographic challenges and opportunities. This image was created as I hiked the snow covered banks of the Rio Grande in the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument. The winter temperatures had frozen the slow moving edges of the river as well as the water around some of the boulders and the icing on the cake was a dusting of snow. The Snow Boulder’s reflection can be seen in the lower half of the image. It converted to what I feel is a superb black and white.
