Photography PrintsWhile I hiked the Rio Grande Valley of New Mexico, I happened upon this Common Raven searching the snow covered ground for bits of sustenance. Ravens are members of the Corvus family which includes crows. Ravens are among the smartest of all birds, gaining a reputation for solving complicated problems invented by creative scientists. They cruise along roads looking for roadkill. Crows don’t typically do this, so if you see a bird flying down the middle of a road, it’s probably a raven.
