Taos Pueblo New Mexico

Living in Northern New Mexico my life is rich with the sights, the sounds and aromas of Native American culture. The Taos Pueblo, or Pueblo de Taos, is an ancient pueblo which is home to the Tiwa speaking pueblo Native Americas. It’s about 1,000 years old and located about 75 miles North of New Mexico’s capitol city Santa Fe. The community was built on the banks of the Rio Pueblo de Taos, also known as Rio Pueblo and Red Willow Creek, whose headwaters are in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The unique adobe architecture is utterly amazing to say the least.
